Tiring days...

This is so far the most tiring week since the start of my 1st yr 1st semester.
I went to Ipoh two days continuously last weekend, one day for PC fair and another for church service.
I had came back to campus quite late in both days, and one whole day at Ipoh is really tiring, not to mention two...
I was exhausted already when I reached UTP that Sunday night, thus I went to sleep straight away.

Monday's 1st class is at 8am, so I had to wake up early and spent the whole day at lectures and tutorials.
That night, I had my Chinese Orchestra practice at 7.30pm.
Among the 6 songs that we are going to perform in ConvoFair next week, 4 songs are new to me.
Imagine that, I have 4 songs that I don't know how to play, but I am still one the players in the performance next week.
My God, we spent about 4 hours time practicing the songs.
As I am playing flute (Di Zi), I could feel my lips getting numb during the practice.

After the practice, I went back my room and started to work on my lab report, which I have to submit the next day.
I have 3 quizzes going in the morning, which I haven't study at all, and I don't had time to care.
I was damn tired when I finished the report, so I went straight to bed.

Tuesday morning, which is today, I had my 1st quiz of DE at 8am.
I cannot answer any of the questions, and I cannot even copy my friends' answers, because everyone got different questions.
So at the end, I passed up an empty sheet...
The next two quizzes (Phy. Chem & IMSE) were better, since everyone got the same questions and.... errmmm.... u know lah....

Luckily, today is considered over already...
I still have one more lab report and assignment for this week, which I planned to do tonight.
So, I guessed I'll just stop here today.
Happy reading! ^-^

New sem, new stress...

I got this title from one of my senior, and I totally agree with this phrase.
It's such a big mess during the 1st week of my 1st yr in UTP.
We have to arrange everything ourselves, including lectures, tutorials and lab.
We have to line up for one certain lecturer's class everyday, just because the seniors said he or she is good.
Frankly speaking, if it's not of my friends, I might still haven't figure out anything yet.

So far our timetable is consider okay already, just that in some days of a week we'll be so busy that we won't be able to go back to our room until evening time.
I wonder why ACS don't just fixed everybody's lecture time, so that we'll have less trouble in finding suitable slots for tutorial and lab.
When I told my seniors about my problems, the feedback I got is: "Wah... U now only 1st yr 1st sem also u complain. How are u going to do when u reach 2nd yr onwards?"
My conclusion is, undergraduate life is really not easy.

The Beauty of Pangkor Island

Before I came back to UTP to continue my 1st year study, I had went for a trip to Pangkor Island with my secondary schoolmates.
This trip was very relaxing and so nice that I was not willing to leave that place after two days staying there.

The five of us went to Lumut first using bus, then we use a boat over to Pangkor.
Although I've been to quite a number of islands before, the view of Pangkor didn't failed to amuse me.
We reached our destination in the afternoon, then we use rental car to our chalet.
I'm not sure whose fault is that, but we were somehow lost and met a dead end.
Then we have to turn back and follow another road, which lead us to our chalet in more than 20 minutes drive.
When we reached the place, we can't help but to 'admire' the talent of the photographer who took the picture of that place.
Our room and the swimming pool are not as appealing as what we saw earlier in the introduction voucher, and the actual size is much smaller than what we had thought.
But then we didn't complain much about it.

After our lunch at the nearby mamak stall, we went to the beautiful beach of Pangkor.
We bought beach shorts and slippers (I forgot to bring), get changed in our room, then go down into the water.
At first I thought I could swim around in that area, but then the seawater is too salty that I changed my mind.

Later in the afternoon, some of us went to play jet ski.
It was my first time jet-skiing, and it was damn syok.
The speed of the jet ski and the cool breeze of the wind made me temporarily think of nothing else...

After a whole afternoon soaking in the seawater, we bathe and went for dinner at a seafood restaurant.
The food was okay, but not as good as we expected.
Later then we went back to our chalet, as there is no other places to go at night.

The second day morning, we went for island hopping, which basically means stopping at bay by bay using boat.
The 'abang' driving the boat drove so fast that the speedboat rocked so fiercely, and the girls started to scream.
I felt funny, especially seeing them clutching close to each other, screaming everytime the boat hits the wave.
We stopped by some more famous bay, where we saw big rocks with very unique shapes, and also many colorful fishes at the snorkeling spot.
It is so amazing the work of God, who crafted such beauties in the nature.

After visiting the beautiful bays, we jump into the water for the last time before we left the island.
At around 1pm that day, we sent back our car, and it was the end of our Pangkor trip.
I still can't remember the peaceful feelings I had in this trip, especially the time I spent together with one of the girls whom I liked.
It is as if I had forget all my worries for that short period, my studies, my problems, everthing.
Everything seems so natural, so wonderful...
I would like to go there again during mid-semester break, to feel the wind, the sea, and the peace once more...

Call from Hong Kong

Wow... It has been so long since I last posted a blog.
It can't be help, because it's hard to get online here in my hometown.
My holidays have been half boring and half exciting.
Today, I would like to share some incident I've encountered in my holidays.

Some girl from Hong Kong called me one morning, saying that she's from a jewelry company in Hong Kong, and would like to do a survey with me.
After a short survey, she gave me a set of numbers, saying that my name will be put into some kind of lucky draw during their promotion at KL.
Then their true motive revealed slowly.
The girl called me several day later, inform me that I've won a trip to Las Vegas in the lucky draw.
I was surprised, but instead I asked her if I can change my prize into cash, as I can't go for the trip.
Then she say with my prize convert into our currency, I can get around RM270,000.
I was thinking, "Man, this is so fake..."
So, I decided to play with them.

I checked on the website, and found some other similar cases same as mine.
So, when they asked for my bank account number, I created a new account and give the number to them.
A few days later, they called me again, this time saying that I have to pay a number of RM2,000 for the insurance fee.
I asked them why wouldn't they draw out that amount of money from the one I won, then they expalined a whole bunch of their country's law, which I don't understand at all.
Then I say I don't have that much money, then surprisingly, they stop calling me.
A few days later, my friend received similar call from Hong Kong, just that this time it's an electronic company.

Here, I would like to advise all my friends.
If u receive such call, do not entertain them.
They are really a bunch of troublemaker, cause they will called u everyday, as if they do not have to pay for their telephone bill.
Please be cautious and aware of this kind of tricks.
That's all from me today, God bless. ^~^
